Name: Ademola Akin Falade

Job title: On secondment as a station delivery manager.

Location: Anglia.

Hi Ademola! Please sum up your role in one sentence In my previous role, I was a station assistant dispatch. In my new role, I am responsible for leading a team to deliver all aspects of service delivery to the satisfaction of our customers through my support to an inspired team.

Tell us about your journey to ARL… In 2017, I started as agency staff via Proactive, as a customer service ambassador opening Penge West, later moving to West Croydon for about two and a half years. During that time, I was able to earn my dispatch licence. In 2019, I was transferred via TUPE to Carlisle, joining Arriva Rail London as a station assistant dispatch in 2020. Since joining ARL, I’ve taken advantage of all the opportunities provided which has allowed my career to progress into the position I have today as service delivery manager.

What do you enjoy about working at ARL? I enjoy working at ARL as it affords me the opportunity to see and handle different challenges with different solutions and approaches. Seeing in-house progression of colleagues is always enjoyable.

In your career so far, what are you most proud of? I take pride in being a part of Transport for London via Arriva Rail London. Particularly being part of the team and company that kept London moving during the pandemic, and being able to offer my contribution to customer experience satisfaction on our lines daily.

Tell us about your most memorable railway trip… My most memorable railway trip was a family holiday trip to and from Glasgow from Euston

If you could book a ticket to any destination, where would you go? Now, I want to experience a trip to explore Paris on the Eurostar.

ARL is committed to the internal progression, growth and development of colleagues and over the past year, more than one third of vacancies were filled internally.
