Name: Bunmi Orisabiyi
Job title: Service Delivery Manager
Location: Camden Road (managing Canonbury to Stratford)
Hi Bunmi! Please sum up your role in one sentence
My role as a Service Delivery Manager is to ensure the attainment of the highest customer service satisfaction through the effective use of my assigned team.
Tell us about your journey to ARL… I joined the railway in March 2019 as a member of agency staff (proactive). I took advantage of the many training opportunities provided then, so, I was able to complete training in different areas including retail (ticket office), gate line and train dispatch.
As fate would have it, I was eventually absorbed into the ARL family in February 2020 as a Train Dispatcher. The exciting journey was limitless as I was given many opportunities to showcase my talents and interests. This included being featured on many posters and in articles in Exchange Magazine, like the Black History Month poster that was on display at Battersea Power Station and Victoria in 2021, and Covid awareness posters.
The most memorable part of the journey was championing International Women’s Day in March 2021.
I am currently a Service Delivery Manager at ARL and, of course, that is evidence that doors are open for career progression at ARL.
What do you enjoy about working at ARL? The list is quite endless: the friendly atmosphere, having a supportive team, motivating colleagues, career progression, opportunities for learning developments, and so on.
In your career so far, what are you most proud of? I am most proud of where I am today, considering where I started from in the railway industry.
Tell us about your most memorable railway trip… My first trip on the high speed train to Viking Bay Beach at Broadstairs left a lasting impression.
If you could book a ticket to any destination, where would you go? Hard to decide…I wish to explore many places.
