Name: Natalia Hamilton
Job title: service delivery resilience manager
Location: East London Line (Windrush line)
Hi Natalia! Please sum up your role in one sentence
I support the management team and stations by ensuring that compliance with safety, customer service, performance, and security is consistently being delivered.
Tell us about your journey to ARL…
I joined ARL in 2015 as a train dispatcher at Norwood Junction, which was really fun. Something is refreshing about working on the platform. Shortly after, I became a customer host GPR member of staff working in the ticket office and gate line. During this time, I became an internal trainer to keep myself busy, delivering induction and various courses to new and current employees. This was insightful as I gained a lot of helpful knowledge and met many different employees working in multiple departments.
In 2020, during the pandemic, I realised I was ready to gain more experience, so I joined the North London Line (Mildmay Line) on a secondment basis as a service delivery manager. This gave me great scope and experience with every day being different.
Fast-forward to 2024. I've returned from maternity leave and am permanently working on the East London Line (Windrush Line) as a service delivery manager covering the resilience post.
What do you enjoy about working at ARL?
Every day is different, which keeps it interesting. The railway teaches you something new every day. Most of all, the staff are great, and everyone is helpful.
Tell us about your most memorable railway trip…
During my trip to Vietnam, we took a railway trip across the south. The views were amazing, and I'll never forget them.
If you could book a ticket to any destination, where would you go?
Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica!
ARL is committed to the internal progression, growth and development of colleagues and over the past year, more than one third of vacancies were filled internally.
