60 SECONDS WITH NATASHA DOOLE
Every Month on Exchange Extra, we take sixty seconds out to get to know our team. Follow us on our journey to connect all members of our network.
This month we introduce you to Natasha Doole!
Name: Natasha Doole (but everyone calls me Tash!)
Job title: environment advisor
Location: Palestra
Hi Tash! Please sum up your role in one sentence
My role is all things environment and sustainability, from getting our environment data and reports to TFL and Arriva, to running projects like Overground in Bloom.
Tell us about your journey to ARL…
I graduated from Warwick University back in July this year with a degree in Sustainable Development and Environmental Science and applied for the role straight out of uni!
What do you look forward to most working at ARL?
I’m most looking forward to using what I’ve learnt throughout my degree in real world situations. Learning the theory of everything is great but I can’t wait to put it into practice!
In your career so far, what are you most proud of?
As I haven’t been working long, I’d have to say graduating from university. I started my degree back in 2020 and COVID meant everything was totally different to how it should’ve been so finally making it to the end after so many challenges, it was definitely a proud moment for me.
Tell us about your most memorable railway trip…
Using the San Francisco Bay-Area monorail! My family and I spent a couple weeks on the US West Coast over summer and the monorail in San Francisco gives you great views of everything from the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz!
If you could book a ticket to any destination, where would you go?
Anywhere in South-East Asia! I’d love to experience the Train Street in Hanoi, Vietnam one day and who doesn’t want to go Bali?!
