Hi Sarah! Please sum up your role in one sentence
I am seconded to the role of customer experience manager, which means I look after the stations and station teams on the Lioness and Mildmay lines.
Tell us about your journey to ARL…
Before the Overground, I was a station manager for c2c Rail. I joined the Overground in 2012 and was a service delivery manager in the south London area for nearly 12 years.
So far, what are you most proud of in your career?
I’m really proud of how well we have adapted as a team to all the changes we’ve faced over the years I have worked here. The world is very different from 2012, and I am proud of our continued focus on doing the right thing for our customers and our people.
Tell us about your most memorable railway trip…
My most memorable rail trip was between Sydney and Melbourne. It took around 14 hours without a cabin. It was very uncomfortable but totally worth it!
If you could book a ticket to any destination, where would you go?
I’ve always wanted to go to Argentina, but anywhere with sunshine and a beach works for me!
