INTRODUCING OUR PEER TRAINERS

In a bid to connect colleagues throughout the business, customer experience has introduced the peer trainer scheme.

What is peer training? When two peers come together to learn from one another, engage in meaningful conversation, and offer advice.

Since the launch of our commitments programme in 2023, we've emphasised the importance of self-care and mutual support. While our colleagues are undoubtedly our greatest asset, we've acknowledged the need for improvement in communication and support within our teams.

Who are our peer trainers?

We are introducing individuals who have chosen to sign up to drive positive change within our ranks. We begin with Muhammad Bajwa, whose 15 years of experience in the railway industry make him a cornerstone of our peer training efforts. Muhammad's commitment to continuous learning and empathy exemplifies the qualities required to be a peer trainer.

Joining Muhammad are Joanna Haigh, Khalid Shaikh, Jamie Chamberlain, Fida Ayaz, Georgie Berrill, Jaspal Sian, and Dudu Miah, to name a few – a group of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, all united by a shared desire to make a positive impact.

Their reasons for becoming peer trainers vary, but they all share a common goal: to share knowledge, support their colleagues, and provide a culture of growth and development.

Should you ever require guidance or assistance, please contact our peer trainers. They are here to provide support and guidance as we strive for excellence.
