MAKE A HEART OF GOLD AWARDS NOMINATION TODAY

The Railway Benefit Fund Heart of Gold Awards are back for 2022, to celebrate those in the rail industry who go the extra mile and make a real difference.

Nominations are open now. All colleagues can make a nomination to thank and recognise those who inspire us by clicking here. Nominations close 10 October, so don’t hang about!

This year, the Awards have four categories: Rising Star Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Team Award, and the Rail Hero Award.

Heart of Gold Awards categories

Rising Star Award

Sponsored by Furrer + Frey

The Rising Star Award is for someone who has made a big impact in a short space of time. This person is new to the Railway Family but has already displayed incredible acts of kindness and is inspiring others to do the same. Nominees would usually be within their first 5 years of working in rail.

Team Award

Sponsored by Amaro

The Team Award is for an amazing group of people who all work in the rail industry. They work together, support each other and achieve amazing things as a group. You may wish to nominate: your own work team, a team you manage, or a team of people who have fundraised or volunteered together.

Lifetime Achievement Award

Sponsored by Railpen

The Lifetime Achievement Award is for someone who has demonstrated their Heart of Gold throughout their career in rail. This person may be a mentor to others, a supportive figure, or even just a friendly face. Nominees would usually have worked in rail for at least 15 years.

Rail Hero Award

The Rail Hero Award recognises an unsung hero who has made a significant impact on the wellbeing of a colleague or their community. Their heroic gesture could be big or small but has made a huge difference to the lives of others.

So has a colleague inspired you? Do you know someone who goes above and beyond every single day? A Heart of Gold Awards nomination is a fantastic way to recognise them and say thank you.
