MOSAIC YOU GLAD TO SEE ME.

While travelling around the network, you may notice bespoke and beautiful mosaics on some London Overground station roundels. These wonderful additions to the network are thanks to East London artist, Maud Milton, who enlisted the help of locals to craft the hundreds of tiles that go into each design. The intricately crafted mosaics can be found at various stations, from Chingford to Upper Holloway.

Maud Milton developed her latest collection of roundels for Blackhorse Road station in collaboration with community organisation William Morris Big Local, and with backing from Transport for London and London Borough of Waltham Forest council. The series of 12 miniature TfL roundels have been mounted on concrete pillars at the rear part of the station.

“We know our stations are an important part of the community so it’s fantastic that Maud Milton has led local community groups and residents in contributing to these new colourful mosaics at Blackhorse Road station. These unique roundels will provide a splash of colour for all our customers to enjoy.” - Rory O’Neill, TfL’s General Manager for London Overground.

See the roundels for yourself at Blackhorse Road station. The majority of the artwork is situated before the barriers, so you don’t even need to enter the station to appreciate them! There are also three bonus mini roundels situated inside the station for anyone making a journey in the direction of Barking.
