VOLUNTEERING DAY AT SOUTH NORWOOD COMMUNITY KITCHEN

Last month, ARL employees, alongside our colleagues from TfL, Network Rail, Virtus, and BT, participated in a volunteer day at South Norwood Community Kitchen (SNCK). This day kicked off our exciting partnership with SNCK, focusing on supporting their mission of promoting health, reducing poverty, and fostering community unity.

The volunteer day provided an opportunity to showcase the amazing work of SNCK to the volunteers and to discuss the proposed vision for the Norwood Junction Health and Wellbeing Garden, which aims to grow fresh produce for the kitchen. Presentations from ARL team members aided this vision by highlighting the challenges faced at the station and the ongoing commitment to supporting local communities.

We are looking forward to funding opportunities for the garden transformation that will hopefully begin this year.

This volunteering day was a powerful reminder of the difference we can make when we come together as a team, united by a common purpose. We look forward to continuing our partnership with SNCK and supporting them in their mission to create a healthier, more connected community.

Thank you to everyone made this day a success – your effort, enthusiasm, and kindness embody the true spirit of community engagement.
